Lobsterfest

I have wanted to go to the Long Beach LobsterFestival for years and today I finally made it.

The food was ok, the music was great, and it was freaking hot!!!!! My friend Andie and I stayed about an hour. We shared a lobster quesadilla and lobster mac and cheese. I am not a huge fan of lobster and today’s meals did not help. The lobster was so overcooked that it was chewy. Even the mac and cheese was bad. The best thing was the watermelon drink Andie bought and getting back into the air conditioned car. But at least I can say I have been and check it off my list!

Andie and I ended up at Buffalo Wild Wings for an early dinner. We had some good food and watched some football. Kind of a great way to end the day.

I came home and watched a couple of movies. I DVRed Awakenings weeks ago and finally got around to watching it.

It was as good as I remembered it. I was surprised to learn that the story is actually based on a true story about on a British doctor. Robin Williams was amazing in it. Hard to believe he is no longer with us.

I also finished White Oleander.

I read this book years ago, but never got around to watching the movie. I really enjoyed the movie and tempted to read the book again.
