A whole lot of TV

Today was a normal Sunday- grocery shopping, laundry, and TV watching. The new fall season is upon us and every TV network is trying to suck us in. Here is how it is going for me:

Gotham– could not get through it
How To Get Away With Murder- not to sure about it
Scorpion– hooked
black-ish– cute, but I don’t know if I can stick with it
NCIS: New Orleans– I should love it since it has Scott Bakula in it
Forever– loved it

And I managed to watch some football. Like I said, it was a lot of TV. I get all my TV watching for the week done in one day. Usually I stick with a couple of shows and lose interest by November.

My mood is no better. I do not see it improving anytime soon. I kinda feel like staying in this funk for awhile.

I did do some cooking today. One of my favorite meals in college was mac n’ cheese, aspargus, and salsa. I do not know why it popped into my head, but I decided to make it for lunch. It was just as yummy and cheap as I remember.

The picture does not do it justice.

Then for dinner I had chicken and potatoes. The chicken was some concoction that I picked up at Target. It was yummy. It gave me the opportunity to make my smashed potatoes. They are so easy and I forgot how amazing they are. The secret is fresh rosemary and keeping the skins on.

Again, the picture does not do it justice. At least my tummy is happy.
