I have been MIA (or still on Samantha Island), but I do have some stuff to share.
Thursday was a partial solar eclipse and I was excited. I tried ordering solar eclipse glasses (didn’t want to go blind) and they were on back order.
Bummer.
It did not matter anyway.
The eclipse was kinda a bust and I was called into an emergency meeting.
Double Bummer!
And then today I finally upgraded my phone. I have had the iPhone 4s for three years and it was wonderful. Over the past few days it has been acting up and I figured it was time for an upgrade. I ordered it online this morning and picked it up at the Apple store a few hours later.

I played with my phone all day and am very happy with it. I feel bad for my old phone, but I am going to donate it to a women’s shelter and know it will be put to good use.
Getting my phone was very easy. I ordered it through apple.com and was in and out of the store in thirty minutes. What got me was that there was a line outside the store of about 20 people waiting to get a phone. Why didn’t they just order online?
So I asked the Apple people. Some people pay in cash (duh Samantha!) and some people buy as many as they can to resell. I think my way was much easier and I did not have to wait in line!
I good portion of the day was spend hanging out with Begonia. She napped and I played with the phone. I took bunch of pictures of her and this was my favorite of the day.
I must have sneezed when I took this picture. Begonia looks like she is dead. And yes my bed is not made! I could interrupt Begonia’s nap! She only slept about 11 hours today!
