The Maze Runner

I did not want to read The Maze Runner.

The story did not interest me. I thought it was another dystopian teen novel. I decided to read it because there was an opportunity at school to read and discuss the novel with my students. Anytime I can discuss a novel with anyone I will always be on board.

So I picked up The Maze Runner and could not put it down. I have no problem admitting that I was so wrong about the book. It was different from all the other popular young adult novels I have recently read. I cannot wait to read it with my students and talk about it.

Begonia is doing great. She has less than a week to go before she gets her staples out and can finally go outside. The rain has helped to keep her in, but she wants freedom. Entering and exiting the house has become quite an ordeal. She is sneaky and a lot faster than I am. I do not put her e-collar on that much anymore. She has been leaving her paw alone and we are both happier with it off.

I am in one of my funks again.

I am so tired of the funks.

I am tired of myself.

In less than 48 hours i two will have freedom from work for two weeks. I better keep myself busy!
