The Magic Castle

Let me start at the beginning of the story.

A few months ago I was talking to some friends and the topic of magic came up.  I said that I had always wanted to go to The Magic Castle. A friend of mine said she knew someone who could just in and within a half hour we had VIP tickets.

IMG_4975I had no idea what to expect, but I knew it would exceed my expectations. The Magic Castle has very strict rules (dress code was the biggie) and we reviewed them closely.

Side note: I had planned to wear the same cute owl dress that I wore for my grandmother’s 90 birthday.  When I went to put it on yesterday it was too big.  Actually it was really big.  The straps would not stay on my shoulders and the bust looked like I had no bust. Wahoo!

We pulled up to the castle and turned the car into the valet. I took the only pictures I could. There was no photography allowed inside.

Our dinner was amazing. Actually it was very expensive and amazing. The place is magic because I had steak and desert! We saw all sort of magic shows. The main show is in The Palace of Mystery.

I did not get home till 1:30 and I was exhausted.  I slept in till almost 9 (I did the same thing yesterday morning) and I felt I could have slept longer.  I followed my normal Sunday routine and I needed it.

The highlight of my day was talking to my cousin for almost three hours. I needed a pep talk from her! And Siri made me giggle.

I am so stealing that!
