I finished reading The Incredible Adventures of Cinnamon Girl and loved it.
It is a silly teeny-bopper book that dealt with young love, the end of the world, and finding yourself. It takes place in Australia and I learned all sorts of new slang…. That I cannot remember at the moment. I loved the characters. I loved the story. I think I will be reading a lot more books by Melissa Keil!
Today is the first day of summer and it was actually a few degrees cooler than it has been, but it was still hot! I am not a fan of the heat and question every summer why I live in Southern California. I stayed inside a majority of the day and was thankful for the air conditioning. I did go the gym today and did my walk/run. I love my walk/runs.
Today was also Father’s Day. I took my dad for a Mexican dinner in Forest Falls, a nearby mountain community. This is one of my favorites places to go in the summer to cool down on a hot day. There is one restaurant, El Mexicano, that is fun to go to. The food is okay, but the cooler weather always makes up for the subpar food. My dad was thrilled.
