Aren’t you glad I am an invalid?

Work has been crazy. My classes have been working on labs and having fun playing. Today we did the Density Column Lab and it was greatto hear the excitement in my students voices. The prep work for the lab is heavy, but worth it every time.

Tonight my mom was in rare form. We had plans to go get Chelsea Clinton’s new book signed.

My mom was so excited. When I arrived at my parent’s she was ready to go. We drove to Pasadena with no traffic! Wahoo!  The signing was at Vroman’s Bookstore. This store is one of best independent bookstores I have been too. The line to get our books signed was ridiculously long. I knew my mom could not stand in the line for a long time so I spoke to an employee (Gilbert with a fantastic mustache!) and he told us to sit on the stage outside. Great!

Then the unexpected happened. An employee came and got all the people sitting on the stage and took us inside.

Everyone sitting on the stage had a special need of sorts.

So….. We got to go to the front of the line. Actually we were second in line. My mom got even more excited. She turned to me and said “Aren’t you glad I am an invalid?”.

Yes and no. Either way it was a funny comment. Chelsea signed my book and said she liked my top. Now we are best friends.
