Vampires, maps,and shopping

What a three day weekend I had. It was relaxing, busy, and too short.

Saturday I started my running program over from week one. I fought with myself about going for a run and I am so proud I went. I really do enjoy running and I need to remember that. I always feel amazing after a run.

Saturday afternoon was a trip to the movies to see Hotel Trannsylvania 2 with a friend.

It was hilarious. I really enjoyed the movie. I laughed a lot. And what is the best way to follow a great movie? Chipotle of course!!

Sunday was an interesting day. Dad called me at 7AM and wanted to go for breakfast. I hurried to shower and met my parents at the restaurant. We had a great time and I wish we had more meals like that. Then it was time for some clothes shopping. I had a long list of things I needed and was ready to spend some dough. And did I ever! I have said many times that getting in shape and losing weight is expensive!

Today was a day off, but I started earlier than ever. I had a workout sessions with the trainer at 6Am. I did modified pull-ups today and it kicked my butt. I felt pretty darn cool! I do not think I have ever done any kind of pull-up! I came home and took a nap! And then an amazing thing happened! Mom did not bail on me. We went to get pedicures, had lunch, and did some shopping. She was in a very good and we had a great time. If my day off was not busy enough, book club was tonight. I love book club night!

And I finally finished my book today.

The Mapmaker’s Wife was one of the hardest books I have read in a long time. It was boring. It was not a fun read. It was completely different than the description I read. It took me a month to get through. I struggled with this book and I am so happy to be done with it.
