Birds, Seals, and Dinner

That was my day in a nutshell.

A student came to me today and said that he had found a little bird on his way to school.  He kept the bird in his backpack and did not know what to do with it.  He was worried it was hurt.  So I ended up with the bird.

He was a beautiful bird.  You can see the cup of water and pipette I used to find him some water. He was scared, but surprisingly calm. I was able to teach class while holding him. Eventually I had to put him down, so I made him a little nest.

He fell into a deep sleep.  I kept checking on him to make sure he was okay.  I think he needed a nap!  After an hour I went to release him and he flew away! I was so happy.

I had dinner tonight with a dear friend.  It was her birthday on Wednesday and I had to take her out to celebrate.  We went to a local icon and one of her favorite restaurants, Tarten of Redlands.  Personally I do not care for the place, but it was not my birthday.  We had a great time talking and being silly. I splurged and had three Diet Cokes!

For day 23 of my Photography 101 class, we had to capture “Silly”.  Last year for my birthday, I went to Big Sur with a friend. We stopped along the way to see the Elephant Seals. These are some of my favorite pictures.  I looks like the seal are laughing. To me it is so silly!

I played around with Pic Stitch again.
