Welcome Maddie!

Today we welcomed a new addition to our family.

A blurry picture, but she would not stop moving around.  Maddie is only about 4-5 weeks old and is happy in her new home. She  will be spoiled and loved.  I cannot wait to watch her grow up! I love the stripe doing down her nose.  It is a mini orange blaze.

Thankfully that was the only excitement for today since yesterday was crazy! A fellow teacher and I chaperoned the annual trip to Hurricane Harbor.

The park was closed to only Friday Night Live (the club I co-advise). We had an amazing time, but it was a very long day.  My two favorite pictures from the day:

I think everyone will be traveling with a surge protector now so multiple people can charge their phones. It sure does come in handy!

This is actual one of the kid play areas of the park, but it is one of my favorite places at the park. All the kids are waiting for the bucket to pour a zillion gallons on them.  Yes, I was one of the kids that waited yesterday! It is something so simple, but yet a bucket of fun! The anticipation is the best part!

The best ride is Tornado. Sadly I did not get any pictures of it, but the thrill is great.  You kinda feel like you are being flushed down a toilet… I know, horrible example.  But it works!  You can gain some real height and I laughed the whole way down.

Now I am thinking I need to buy a waterproof camera.

I did not post any pictures for my Photography 101 class yesterday, so today you get two!

Day 31: Quiet Time

photo

Taken at the Lake Arrowhead Resort last year. It was as relaxing as it looks! Taken with my iPhone.

Day 32: Texture

Patterns & Texture

Take with my Nikon D5000 a few weeks ago.  I really like taking pictures of nature.  The bark looks like peeling paint.
