A Day of Rest

My Sunday was a normal Sunday- grocery shopping, laundry, and emptying out the DVR. I watched the pilot episode of The Mysteries of Laura and really enjoyed it. It was Grace with a badge and kids. I loved it! I think I may stick with this show. I also watched the Red Band Society. I really wanted to like this show, but the pilot episode was tough to get through. I am keeping my fingers crossed it will get better.

I did have a little excitement today. I finally tried the Living Root Cellar. Everyone and anyone has ranted about how great this place was. I had the Surfer Girl smoothie and was not impressed at all. To be honest I felt a little ripped off. What saved the placed and the reason why I may go back was the people who worked there. The staff was amazing! It made up for a disappointing shake.

Now maybe I have shared with you my love hate relationship with the crock pot. I love the idea that I can start dinner before I leave for work and come home to dinner ready. I love the way my house smells when I walk through the door when I am cooking something in the crockpot. I hate that I have not been able to find a meal that is good! I found an article online that claimed to have the best crockpot recipes ever. I was excited. I decided to try Chicken Crockpot Stroganoff since I had most of the ingredients. I followed the recipe and was excited since the house smelled delicious! The dish was horrible. It even made my broccoli taste bad.

And how I love broccoli!
