My favorite season

Fall is here and hopefully it will begin to get cooler. I laugh as I write this since it was a record hot weekend. I tried to get myself in the fall mood by decorating for the season.

I love this sign and always forget about it until I unpack my Halloween stuff.

I have had this witch for years. I never cared for it much, but it is nostalgic.

My collection of witches. I put different ones out every year.  They make me happy.

Val’s throne with one of her favorite toys. I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately.  I cannot believe it will be a year in November.

My mom bought this for me a few years ago.  I love the way it glows at night.

This might be my favorite witch from my collection.

Go Florida State!  Thank goodness my alma mater’s colors go with fall!

Welcome!

I wish I could say that I carved these pumpkins, but no.  I am not that talented!

My front door.  My Mr. Potato Head pumpkin is the closest I get to carving.

My flowers are not blooming and my goal next week is to add some rocks to the flower bed, but I wanted to show the decorations.

These little witch hats were a find at CVS about 10 years ago.  I wish I could find more.

Everyone thinks Halloween is my favorite holiday since my name is Samantha and I collect witches, but that is just a bonus.  I love Halloween because it was the only holiday I remember my dad not missing. Since he was in the military, he missed a lot of holidays.  For some reason I always remember him being home for Halloween and taking me trick or treating in his flight suit. I have fond memories of going around the neighborhood with my dad and feeling so proud. Of course I was usually dressed up as a witch, but would you expect anything less?
