My dad loves Veteran’s Day.
Not because it is a day to thank him for his service in our military.
He loves Veteran’s Day because he can get free meals all day long.
He was bragging to everyone that he took me to dinner at Chili’s.
My dad. He is unique!
My day of freedom was quiet. I watched some TV, I read a bunch of neglected magazines, I napped with Begonia, and I enjoyed the cool weather.
I did manage to peel myself off the couch to see Gone Girl.
I read the book a few years ago and thought it was amazing. I did not like how it ended, but I understood that it needed to end the way it did. The movie was pretty good. As I watched the movie, I remembered more and more of the book. There was a lot of changes, but I was entertained. I was on the edge of my seats at parts and I disliked the characters I was supposed to. Surprisingly, I even liked Ben Affleck.
