No books. No boots.

Today we got off to a lazy start. We stayed up late last night watching Star Wars. Today was all about hanging out with the family. We all met up at Powell’s Books and wandered the aisles. Most of us are bookworms  and Powell’s is a dangerous place for us. Somehow, I made it out without purchasing a book. I found one I wanted, but it was more than I was willing to spend. I was set on buying some boots!

Beautiful boots.

So a few of us next trekked over to REI, another very dangerous store. I had seen some boots in the REI flyer that I fell in love with. They were on sale and I was determined to get them. Too bad the world had other plans. They did not have my boots in my size or color. I tried a other pairs, but my dreams of great boots were shattered.

So no books. No boots.

I drowned my sorrows in a tea from Starbucks.

And a grilled cheese sandwich.

And a bowl of tomato soup.

Poor me.
