Gobble, Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This year we have added yet another member to Rebel Thanksgiving. Our little group of two has grown to four! The more the merrier!

Our day of traditions started this morning with brunch at Mother’s Bistro. This place never disappoints. The food is always amazing and the service is great. I recommend the Salmon Hash. It is amazing! I took a picture of our great meal.

After brunch we were in need of a serious walk. The Tilikum Crossing Bridge opened about  two months ago. No cars are allowed on the bridge, just walkers, bicyclers, and public transportation. The views of the city are amazing and the Willamette River is beautiful. We were very lucky and had great, clear views of Mount Hood and Mount St. Helens.

We stopped on the way home to take pictures of a little waterfall near my cousin’s home. She has lived in Portland for about ten years and just discovered this little gem. Things like this make me love Oregon!

We then got dressed up, caught the train, and headed to dinner at Jake’s Grill. This is where we have been going since I have been going up to Portland for Thanksgiving. We usually get to the restaurant early to have a drink in the bar (usually my only drink of the year).

Then we pig out. I usually get the Butternut Squash soup, Stuffed Salmon, and Apple Crisp. We eat like kings and swear we will never eat again… until tomorrow!
