The Monuments Men

After last night’s excitement, I was happy to have an easy day today.  I got up late (late being 6:30) and had a cat that was ready to play. Begonia was bouncing all over the bed and when I got up to look at her, she did this:

Really, you lay down when I am finally up????  You stinker! You had a plan all along and I played right into it!!!  Boy do I feel foolish!

I moved from my bed to the couch and finished my book.

The History of Us by Leah Stewart was a hard book to read.  I could not get into the book, the characters annoyed me, and I was not all that surprised by the plot twists.  Would I recommend it to a friend?  Probably not.  I might give the author another shot with one of her other books, but I will not be running the book store anytime soon.

I had not seen my Momaka in a while and I was excited about our movie date.  We saw The Monuments Men.

Now I have a strong belief that anything with John Goodman in it, makes a good movie. The only exception is Flight. That movie was horrible! And I had to sit through it with my father… a pilot.  Ugh! Thank goodness The Monuments Men was so much better.  I loved it.  I do not know how historically accurate it is, but you better believe that I will googling it tonight.  The movie was a tad long, but still I enjoyed it.

We ran some errands afterwards and then parted ways.  I came home and found something in the freezer to heat up for dinner and now I am off to bed to research the Monuments Men. I will of course let you know if I find anything!
