Luck of the Irish

Today was crazy. A good crazy. I needed a day to get my mind off of everything.

My mom is doing well. Her spirits were much better than yesterday.

My day started with a scavenger hunt put on by the camera club. We drove all over town and hopefully got some good pictures. I have not had the chance to go through them yet, but I’ll share them when I do. The scavenger hunt was fun. I visited some local places that I had never been to and some that I had not been to in awhile. I probably took 1000 pictures for 15 clues. I cannot wait to see them!

We did take a little detour to Parliament. Now I am not a huge chocolate fan, but I was excited to try some homemade creations.

They were amazing. I took my time eating each one. I think I understand a little bit more why people are crazy about chocolate. Parliament uses as many local ingredients as possible. I think this place is going to be a keeper.

After a quick nap, I headed to a St. Patrick’s Day themed Bunco party. I love playing Bunco and will use any excuse to play. It is such a silly game, but filled with laughter and ridiculousness. The luck of the Irish was with me! I won a door prize!

I of course picked this bag because of the polka dots! Did I ever luck out. Everything smells so good and I am anxious to put it all to use. I was feeling so good about myself until…

My friend that I invited won four prizes. Yes! Four!

These are just two of the prizes she won. I learned a valuable lesson tonight: never bring that friend to a Bunco party again!
