Great Camera Class

As you may have read yesterday, I splurged and bought a new camera. I have not shot anything with it yet, but I have a whole summer to do that.

About two months ago I signed up for a class through Samy’s Camera. Walking through this store is like taking a kid into a candy store. It makes my mouth salivate. This is why I tend to stay away. But I signed up for a beginner camera class specially for Nikon.

It was by far the best camera class I have taken.  It was very basic, but still I learned a lot.  The instructor was great and I have even started to follow him on Flickr. He actually told us to and to recreate the picture he took. We never once got out our cameras, but there was no need to. I will be signing up for more classes through Samy’s. The classes are very reasonable, but what you learn is priceless.

Things with the parental units are not great, but I am feeling better about what to do.  In other words, I have a plan. I will have to follow through with my plan. I also have to remember to not be shy when asking for help. This is not something I can do alone. I have to remember this.
