The Shock of the Fall

The Shock of the Fall by Nathan Filer was a  spontaneous purchase at Target.

I had a hard time getting through the book. The premise of the novel was interesting, but as I read so many things changed. The last twenty pages of the book I loved. It made the book for me.

I made it to the gym today. It was hard. I slept poorly last night and I wanted to use that as an excuse. I kept telling myself that the hardest part is getting to the gym. Once I am there, all is good. I am still stuck in Week 3 of my jogging program and I am okay with that. Eventually I’ll make it to Week 4 when the time is right.

The best news of the day was that my mom admitted that she had no pain. She was pain-free. Who knows how long she will be free of pain, but that is not a concern of mine. I am focusing on the fact that she had no pain and that she could admit it! I could not ask for much more.
