A horrible movie, but a great run

I woke up this morning determined to have a better day. I decided to start my day with a comedy so I took myself to an early showing of Daddy’s Home.

It was awful. Horrible. Painful to watch. It was not the comedic relief I was hoping for. It is not often I feel like a movie was a waste of my money, but this time I really wanted to go ask for a refund. I know to expect little from Will Ferrel movies, but this one has to be the worst!

I came home to have lunch and do some reading. We are experiencing some serious wind in Southern California and it always makes perfect reading weather! I knew Begonia would want to be inside and I love when she curls up with me while I read. The wind did have a casualty- my wind chime. I love hearing the wind chime and I knew I had to run out to get a new one. I figured since I was out I might as well head to the gym for a quick run. I purchased my wind chime and drove to the gym. When I got there I realized that I forgot my key fob to get in. Then the most amazing thing happened! I drove home, got the key fob, and headed back to the gym! I did my run and felt like a complete bad ass!

After I ate dinner I sprawled out on the couch to finish my book.

I loved Wildflower by Drew Barrymore. I was a bit scared to read this book. I have loved Drew Barrymore since she was in E.T. I did not want to be disappointed with her latest endeavor. I could not have been more pleased. This book was written from her heart. I could hear her reading the stories to me. I could not wait to finish the book and yet I was disappointed when it was done. I even read the acknowledgments… which I rarely do!
