Today I took it easy and filled my day with a bunch of movies.
First movie was The Way.
I had heard so much about this movie and was better than I thought. The Camino de Santiago was not something I was familiar with and it is not something I am pretty sure I will ever accomplish, but I understand the drive to do it. Yes it is a religious pilgrimage, but it is also about finding yourself. That is something I need to do.
Next movie was Zootopia.
I get what all the hype is about. I loved this movie. The story was very political and reminded of how Dr. Seuss books always carried a secret message. Kids read the book and enjoy the story, while adults are given a political message to chew on. It made me feel a little bit better about going to see a kids movie.
Last movie of the day was City of Angels.
I saw this movie when it first came out and I loved it. I think I loved it even more the second time I watched it. Such a beautiful and powerful movie! I did not cry this time like I did the first time I watched this movie, but the message was different this time.
I do not know which was my favorite of the three movies that I watched today. All three were so different.
